How to add a payment to an issued invoice

There are multiple places from where you can add a payment in eDoula:

  • You can add a payment to any invoice you are viewing.

  • From the Payments list.

  • From the Paperwork section in the client profile.

Adding a payment from an invoice

  1. When you are viewing an invoice, click ADD PAYMENT on the right hand side.

  2. When adding a payment from an invoice you already have the Client Name and the Pay towards invoice field populated.

  3. You can add a full or partial payment.

  4. Fill out the remaining information.

  5. Click SAVE.

Adding a payment from the Payments list

  1. Select Payments on your left-hand toolbar

  2. Click the NEW PAYMENT button in the top right hand corner.

  3. Select client name and invoice number.

  4. Fill in remaining information and click SAVE.

Adding a payment from the Paperwork section

  1. Select the Paperwork tab from within the client profile

  2. Scroll down to the Payments section.

  3. click the NEW PAYMENT button.

  4. When adding a payment from within a client profile, the client name will already be selected.

  5. Select invoice number.

  6. Fill in remaining information and click SAVE.
